Yugoslavia's beloved national team coach and considered the father of basketball in the country, Aleksandar Nikolić, nicknamed "the iron sergeant" during his lifetime, gave his name to the building after his death in 2000. Locally, people come to skate, which is one of the favorite pastimes of young Belgraders. The city obviously has several ice rinks, but this is the best. The Pionir Sports Hall is the only one open until April.
