ST. MICHAEL'S CATHEDRAL IN BELGRADE

Built between 1837 and 1840 it is a curious mixture of a Byzantine church with a Catholic appearance due to its Austrian architecture. Commissioned at the time by Prince Miloš Obrenović, the cathedral acts as a mausoleum. Thus, at the foot of the portal are the great writers Dositej Obradović and Vuk Karadžić. In a crypt to the right of the entrance Prince Miloš and his son Prince Michael while to the left are the metropolitan and a patriarch.
