This building, built between 1960 and 1965 and offering a magnificent view of the river, is the work of Ivan Antić and Ivanna Raspopović, two renowned architects and symbols of post-war Yugoslav modernism. The permanent collection spread over five floors and in eighteen thematic sequences presents artists from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present day, tracing key movements in the art of socialist Yugoslavia to present-day Serbia.
