Located on an esplanade facing Nikola-Tesla Airport, the current museum building designed in 1969 by architect Ivan Štraus and resembling a glass mushroom was opened to the public in 1989. From experimental aircraft of the 1920s to the latest military aircraft, more than 47 pieces hang in this dome to the glory of Yugoslav aviation. Outside, even more planes but more recent and in less good condition.
If you have at least an hour to spare before your flight, this is a perfect opportunity to discover this fascinating museum.
