Located in the private apartment of the great Yugoslav writer (1892-1975), whose stories are set in Ottoman Bosnia, the museum provides an insight into the daily life and work of the author. Ivo and his wife lived there until 1958. Documents, photographs, correspondence, manuscripts and other personal items of Ivo Andrić are on display.
He is the best known and most translated author (40 languages) of Serbian-Croatian literature and received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1961 for his historical novel The Bridge over the Drina.
