Jovan Cvijić (1865 - 1927) was the founder of modern geography, the Geographical Institute and the Serbian Geography Society. He was even an honorary doctor of the Sorbonne. The museum is located in what was formerly the geographer's home and scientist. The house was built in 1905 according to the plans of Cvijić and the interior, in Art Nouveau style, was imagined by Dragutin Inkiostri Medenjak. Throughout the tour you will discover numerous documents such as manuscripts, personal correspondence letters, photos, books, paintings, art objects and personal objects.
