A recent construction, in a serbo-Byzantine style, according to a plan in Greek cross. Its eight golden domes and its monumental entrance give it a spectacular appearance. Bright colours, ranging from rose to ochre, are enliven a traditionally milder place of worship. In the interior, Byzantine frescoes made by local artists bring some heat. Thanks to contemporary technology, the acoustics are almost perfect. Next to the cathedral is a small chapel in honour of Saint Nicholas.
