In the extension of Pašićeva Street and right next to the Matica Srpska. This is the oldest Orthodox church in the city. It was built in 1730 and then, after its destruction in 1848, rebuilt by Maria Trandafil. This wealthy Serb from Novi Sad was, in the 19th century, one of the greatest benefactors of the Serbs of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, buried on the spot. You will notice its oriental bulbous roofs and its glittering Greek crosses.
