At the beginning of Pašićeva Street and marking the entrance to the Serbian quarter - high school, eparchy and Serbian cultural institutions - this cathedral was erected on the site of an older Orthodox church, which disappeared during the troubles of 1848. Its restoration took more than thirty years and employed several architects, including Mihail Harminc of Budapest. Inside, you will discover an impressive iconostasis, with no less than 33 icons and some paintings of character.
