SYNAGOGUE
The synagogue is part of a complex of cultural buildings of the Jewish community built in 1809 by the architect Lipot Baumhorn. Above the main entrance, the inscription " Here is the home of all nations" is displayed. The synagogue was turned into a holding center for Jews in 1944, who were then sent to the camp in Jasenovac. The majority of the Jews of Novi Sad perished there under the blows of the Ustasha and in 1955 the fifth and last group of Jews from the city went into exile in Israel, abandoning the city.
