Known among the locals as the "little church", it was built thanks to a donation from the Vršac merchant Aleksa Nikolić.
The main body was completed in 1764, the bell tower in 1786 and the metal roof, typically Baroque, in 1814. The iconostasis was painted by one of the most important Serbian painters, Arsa Teodorović, and the wood carvings are by Pantelejmon Nikolajević. Other paintings are by Vasilije Nedeljković, Josif Rajkov, Konstantin Simonović, etc.
