Recognizable by its baroque tower with a clock, St. Nicholas Church was erected from 1785 to 1805, when it was promoted to the rank of cathedral, consecrated in 1912. The interior houses treasures of Serbian religious painting, including an iconostasis painted by Pavel Djur-ković, wall paintings by the masters Jakšić and Popović, not to mention the two large paintings by the famous Paja Jovanović. Also of note are the ten icons by Nikola Nešković.
