The municipality of Smederevo has been organizing festivals and cultural events for several years, which have acquired a fairly good reputation. The autumn is particularly rich in events, with the Autumns of Smederevo, at the end of September and the Harvest of Smederevo, in October: each time it is the occasion of medieval parades, street plays and crazy evenings on the Danube! The rest of the year is more "cultural", with for example the Nušić Evenings, in honor of the great Serbian poet and playwright of the 19th century.
