MUSELIMOV KONAK
It is a must-see museum. Built in the 18th century in the Serbian mountain style, this bastide is the oldest house in the city. It represents an important place of memory, as it was in its cellar that the knez Aleksa Nenadović and Ilija Birčanin were beheaded by the Turks. The first floor exhibits more than 150 items from the time of the first Serbian uprising, including numerous Turkish-style rifles, tapered and jewel-encrusted daggers, gold-embroidered flags of the first Serbian battalions of the 19th century.
