MONASTERY OF RAČA
Go there and contact
6 km south of Bajina Bašta (follow the signs), at the bottom of a small valley at the foot of the national park, this small monastery is a haven of peace. Its foundation is attributed to King Dragutin in the 13th century. Destroyed in 1690, it was rebuilt a century later. Its church and its big square tower give it an aura that the mountain accentuates. From there, two marked hiking trails lead to the top of the park. The first one goes up along the Tara stream and leads to Slivovica on the plateau. The other leads to the top of the park, but via the monastery of Stanovni.
