JOVAN OBRENOVIC PALACE
This princely palace was built in 1835 in an oriental-balkan style. At that time it was the center of the city, and was administered by Jovan Obrenović, the brother of Prince Miloš. Above the main entrance, one can observe the only painted coat of arms in Serbia of the Obrenović dynasty. On the first floor, in addition to the hall, there are three other rooms, one of which has a richly decorated stove. The upper part of the building, to which a wooden staircase leads, was used for living quarters and for receiving guests.
