Located in the Obrenović Palace, the museum exhibits objects and relics from the history of the region, from Roman times to the liberation wars of the 19th century. The museum is housed in the konak of Gospodar Jovan, a beautiful white building with characteristic architecture. The building is included in the list of cultural monuments of great importance of the Republic of Serbia. The museum is rather recent, it was founded in 1952. There is not much to see for those who do not speak Serbian or do not know the local history.
