MONUMENT TO THE DEAD OF 1804-1815

In the small park in front of the Lepenica. There are groups of bronze fighters in a realistic style, advancing to the four cardinal points. This monument was erected in 1932, the work of the famous Yugoslav sculptor Anthony Augustinčića. It is dedicated to the fallen soldiers during the wars of liberation from 1804 to 1918. The monument, impressive by itself, gains gravity with the view across the river to the huge complex of Zastava factories.
