KRALJEV PODRUM
the "King's Cellar" (translated from Serbian) produces sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and rosé. It is also a wine museum.
The first mentions of wine growing in this region date back to 1432 and a travel diary written by Bertrandon de La Broquière, a Burgundian pilgrim and clerk at the court of Philip III the Good. The surrounding sunny hills with their gentle slopes are rich in fruits, herbs and mushrooms. The Oplenac wine harvest, a traditional three-day festival of wine and national folklore, takes place every October.
