GARE FERROVIAIRE
Serbia's national railroad company, Železnice Srbije, manages a 4,093 km rail network, 1,279 km of which is electrified. Rail links with neighboring countries are sporadic or non-existent. At national level, inland connections have been reduced, with the closure of certain sections of line. Some cities no longer have a direct train from Belgrade, and require at least one change. The main connections from Belgrade include Jagodina, Niš, Vršac, Šid, Užice, Prijepolje, Šabac, Novi Sad and Subotica. For sightseeing, you can visit the Šargan Eight line, which runs 15 kilometers from Mokra Gora to Šargan Vitasi. It's also possible to visit the Blue Train in Belgrade, specially designed for Marshal Tito, as well as take excursions to neighboring towns on the "Romantika" train, with old carriages pulled by a steam locomotive.
