LAZARICA CHURCH

Built in 1380 by Lazarus, it was rebuilt in the 19th century by Prince Miloš Obrenović. Its plan with three radiating apses surrounding the nave, with two towers, follows the rules of the Morava school. The church alternates stone and brick, which allows for color contrasts in the exterior decoration.

It also has many ornaments and sculptures. Checkerboard patterns and carved arches surround the base of the dome and the small bell tower; the arches of the doors and windows are chiseled with various motifs.
