This imposing bronze monument, 6 m high, is both the symbol of Kruševac and the most important piece of national sculpture in the early twentieth century. Book of Djordje Jovanović, this sculpture representing at its summit the hero Boško Jugović was unveiled on 28 June 1904, day of Vidovdan, in the presence of King Pierre I.
In 1900, at the Paris World Exposition, the monument exhibited in several parts had already obtained the gold medal.
