GARES ROUTIÈRES
This is the most widely used means of transport by the Serbs, because more secure and faster than trains and cheaper sometimes (to a few euros). The three bus stations (municipal, regional and international) are on the left side of the fortress in the city center. Open 24 h/24, there is deposit, exchange desk, restaurant… There are departures almost every hour for most destinations. It takes 1 500 RSD for Belgrade, Skopje in Macedonia or Sofia in Bulgaria. Fares vary according to bus companies, travel (single or round trip), traveler type (student, retired, disabled, etc.). Nis Express is the best known throughout the region, but unfortunately its website is only in Serbian at the moment; You must call the day before, or a few hours before you get informed.
