The Byzantine art of filigree(filigrani, filigran) is a speciality of the city of Prizren and is found throughout the southern Balkans. It consists of silver (or gold) threads finely welded together to give the effect of embroidery. Here is one of the rare shops of Pristina to make live this tradition. For the rest, of the two hundred specialized craftsmen who existed in Prizren in the years 1980, there remain ten in the country. You will find here necklaces, rings, brooches, bracelets, earrings and decorative objects in silver filigree.
