BYREKTORE DINI
Inherited from the Byzantines, the burek (called byrek by the Albanians, but it is pronounced the same) has become the snack of almost all the populations of the Mediterranean basin. The recipe: a large puff pastry pie filled here with spinach, cheese or meat. This tiny shop is famous, since the dough is still homemade. What is good is to taste it as soon as it comes out of the oven. Another good byrektore is the Picadilly, in front of the unfinished cathedral of Christ the Savior, at 223 Agim-Ramadani Street (every day except Sunday 7am-15pm).
