GRAND HOTEL
Described by some as the "worst hotel in the world", this thirteen-story colossus will appeal to fans of offbeat tourism. The others will find much better for less elsewhere. Built in 1978, it was once a luxury establishment where Tito slept shortly before his death. But it was mostly used by the sinister Serbian paramilitary group Arkan Tigers during the Kosovo war. Now dilapidated, it is nevertheless worth a look for the decoration of its second floor landing with a work of the Kosovar sculptor Agim Çavdarbasha (1944-1999).
