JACHAR-PACHA MOSQUE
This mosque (Xhamia e Jashar Pashës, Džamija Jašar-paše) was built in 1834 by order of Governor Jashar Mehmet Pasha. The building corresponds to the typical plan of small Ottoman mosques, with a square prayer hall of 10.5 m on each side. The porch was demolished in the 19th century when the road was widened and replaced by a wooden porch. The ensemble and its small adjoining garden are elegant. Note in particular the finely carved details of the base of the minaret. A visit to the interior is possible, but all the original decoration has disappeared.
