The 3-metre-high bronze statue (Statuja e Bill Klintonit, Statua Bila Klintona) was unveiled by the former US president himself in 2009, ten years after he triggered the Nato intervention that led to Kosovo's independence. Albanian Kosovars are so grateful to US presidents that they have named the two neighbouring boulevards Bill Klinton and Xhorxh Bush. 200 metres south of the statue, the Hillary Boutique clothing store pays a more discreet tribute to Hillary Clinton.
