ARBËRIA PARK
This 16-hectare wooded park (Parku Arbëria, Parka Arberija) is the most pleasant in the city after Gërmia. It includes trails, a playground, a soccer field, a café, a giant chessboard and sports facilities. Next to it are most of the embassies (to the east) and the Camp Film City military base (to the south). The park and the surrounding area are named after the principality of Arbëria, in central Albania, which was the first autonomous Albanian political entity within the Byzantine Empire in the 12th century.
