The Prizren Silver Filigree Cooperative (Punëtoria Filigran ShPK në Prizren, Radionica filigran-obrade srebra u Prizrenu) is the last major filigree workshop in Kosovo. But whereas it employed 150 people in the 1980s, the cooperative now has only five goldsmiths over the age of 60. From the machines that roughen the silver bars to the painstaking work of assembling the tiny one-millimetre pieces, one can follow the fascinating process of making filigree jewellery, brooches or necklaces.
