The superb Rudreswara Swamy Temple, built in the century, has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2021.

Listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2021, construction of the Rudreswara Swamy Temple began in 1213 during the reign of Rudradeva and was completed in 1253. Dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Surya, it was later desecrated by the Tughlaq dynasty when they took over the Deccan. Its thousand finely sculpted pillars never block the view of the sanctuary. The ceilings and portals are decorated with figures of deities. Openwork screens and stone-cut elephants are two figurative elements of the kakatiya style. A black basalt Nandi stands guard.
