Located at an altitude of 1,000 m, the reserve covers 321 km2. It is home to elephant, gaur, tiger, panther, sambar, deer, porcupine... The flora includes tropical evergreen forest, deciduous forest, grasslands and swamps. Other scenic spots include Moyar Waterfalls, Prime Minister's Lookout, Ombetta Swamp, Theppakad Elephant Camp... For permission to visit the park or to book accommodation, contact the office behind the tourist office in Ooty.
