Pyramid built on an elevated site, from where one has the best view of the whole of Teotihuacan
Located at the northern end of the Calzada, the best view of Teotihuacan is from the top of the Pyramid of the Moon, which is equal in height to the Pyramid of the Sun because it is built on a higher site. On its western side is the residential complex Quetzalpapálotl. It is, after the Pyramid of the Sun, the largest building in Teotihuacan. It took seven construction phases, between 100 and 450 BC, to obtain the present pyramid, which is the result of the superposition of several monuments.
