Located in Atlacomulco south of Cuernavaca, this hacienda was built by Cortés in 1530 for his son Martin. It was one of the largest sugar properties in the country. Destroyed during the Mexican revolution, it was rebuilt and intended for sugar and coffee production and finally converted to hotel in 1981. It is a place of extraordinary beauty. Restaurant, bar, pool with columns, but also splendid gardens lined with tortuous and beautiful plants. Evening dinner in this historic and romantic setting is a divine pleasure. Cortés's Hacienda is a real stroke of heart.
