MMAC - MUSEO ARTE CONTEMPORANEAO MORELENCE "JUAN SORIANO
This brand new space in the centre of the city of Cuernavaca also aims to solve the problem of the diffusion of contemporary art in a city so close to the country's capital (and therefore culturally somewhat eclipsed) and also to highlight the work of the great artist Juan Soriano (Guadalajara, 1920- México, 2006). The museum will host four to six annual temporary exhibitions, with occasional activities to facilitate their approach (readings, projections, etc.). In the permanent collection, no less than 1,200 works of painting, drawing, sculpture and engraving created by this monument to the Mexican 20th century artist scene will be presented in rotation. Let us not forget either correspondences and objects taken from the multiple theatrical scenographies conceived by this lover of the living arts.
