TEMPLO DE SAN DIEGO
Baroque temple dating from the seventeenth century where you can admire its churrigueresque facade and its pink domes
The construction of this baroque building was undertaken by Franciscan monks in the 17th century. The temple is located right in front of the Jardín de la Union and its dense trees. It conserves a magnificent Churrigueresque façade, carved in pink Mexican stone. Inside, we can admire a painting of the crucified Christ offered by King Charles III to the Count of La Valenciana. The building is recognisable by its beautiful pink domes, which can be seen immediately from the viewpoint of El Pípila.
