La Aurora is a huge textile factory that operated from 1902 to 1991, supplied with water by an aqueduct that ran down the side of the mountain from the Presa Las Colonias, which can be seen from the botanical garden El Charco del Ingenio. The impressive space is now home to dozens of artists' studios, art galleries, design and decoration shops. Here and there you can see the remains of the amazing machines that once haunted this important place in local manufacturing life. The highlight of the show is the large Mexican antique shop.
