MUSEO DE ARTE DE QUERÉTARO
Museum with permanent collection of European paintings, Mexican art and temporary exhibitions of contemporary art
The museum is housed in the walls of an old Augustinian monastery of the eighteenth century, with an impressive baroque cloister of decorations carved in stone. It has a permanent collection, with classical contours, distributed in nine of the sixteen rooms of the complex. The collection includes European paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries as well as works of art from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. In the other seven rooms, there are temporary exhibitions of contemporary art.
