MUSEO JOSÉ LUIS BELLO Y GONZÁLEZ
Museum rich in collections, giving an idea of the daily life of the Mexican wealthy classes in the early twentieth century
This house was once part of the Santo Domingo de Guzmán Convent. It was acquired at the end of the 19th century by the Bello family, whose heir, José Luis Bello y Zetina, turned it into a museum. The rich collection (more than 3,000 pieces in total) of paintings, watercolors, engravings and sculptures is displayed among the period furniture, which gives us an idea of the daily life of the Mexican upper classes in the early 20th century.
