MUSEO DE ARTE RELIGIOSO
Building destined to accommodate the married women of the nobility during the absence of their husbands in Puebla.
Dating from 1606, this building was intended to accommodate married women of the nobility while their husbands were away. After the general confiscation of the convents in 1857, it operated clandestinely until 1934. 23 rooms present works by renowned masters and deal with themes related to female monastic life. The building has been modified over time. Its dominant Baroque style is pronounced in the walls covered withtalavera tiles in the patio de las profesas, while the main façade is neoclassical.
