MORARANO'S FARM
The Farm of Nanou le Savoyard (deceased in 2018) is full of medicinal and aromatic plants. It also has a permaculture vegetable garden, an orchard of rare trees, edible flower plantations, as well as a superb collection of butterflies and insects from around the world (more than 6,000 specimens) and a distillery of essential oils. Through permaculture agriculture for the vegetable garden, organic farming and no-till agriculture, hundreds of products are processed here every year, mainly with the plants, vegetables and fruits of the farm. It is very enriching, enthusiasts can easily spend the day there. An invigorating moment, far from the large crowds. The Ambatolampy farm was closed to visitors for work during our visit, its reopening to the public is planned for early 2020. However, you can buy the farm products in Ambatolampy and Tana (Russian street, Isoraka).
