Charming colonial-style hotel, confined to the heights of the old town. Distinguished rooms, but not necessarily very spacious (some are tiny and too cold in winter, prefer the larger and sunnier superior rooms), a small English garden with cypress trees pruned into balls, with a nice view of the city. The hotel's restaurant, under a green veranda, has long offered quality cuisine but was closed during our last visit. Professionalism of the reception and the service. An institution in Fianarantsoa.

The restaurant is still serving excellent meals for dinner and fresh sumptuous breakfasts. The high-quality bedding in nicely decorated rooms guaranteed deep sleep.
The old town of Fianarantsoa is just a 5-minutes walk from the hotel and definitely worth visiting. We also did a wonderful day excursion to Ramonafana National park and the nearby thermal sprigs. These highlights are just a two-hours drive from Fianarantsoa (good roads).
We will definitely be back to Tsara Guest House!
the rooms are very small but very comfortable and this Hotel is worth stops here
