Lodge located just opposite Tsaranoro, offering bungalows and round mud huts with thatched roofs.

This structure is located just in front of Tsaranoro, at the foot of the famous Chameleon. The complex is composed of bungalows and round huts (made of clay with thatched roof), comfortable and well kept. Also a camping ground. We love the open-air sanitary facilities: it is difficult to enjoy a more masterful view from the shower. Always looking for improvement, the lodge now has a massage room, a library and an astronomical observatory! The project is 100% eco-responsible and participates in reforestation programs: we love it!

Quel souvenir ! Merciiiii

Consider it a mountain base camp for hiking and climbing. Breathtaking location. Simple but clean huts, close to nature, they have a tree nursery. Network is patchy and phones can only be charged at the reception. Beautiful off-grid experience.
Only place I saw a water filter and it's free to refill your bottle. Perfect to avoid plastic waste!

Hiking: from half day to full day routes. gets hot by 9am so I found it tiring.

Team is cheerful. They just want you to have a great time. Helped me out a great deal when my motorbike had an issue, and another guest who had an injury.

Food: liked all lunch and dinners. Everyone gets the same food, simple. They bake their own bread, so breakfast was fresh. No milk, so you could carry your own if that matters to you.

The hotel lies in a beautiful setting with stunning views. If you are a climber, this is your place. There are several hikes to be made as well. All walks are compulsory to do with guide, which is great for local economy but at times it is also nice to walk alone. The accompanying local animalspotter spotted exactly zero animals, but the nice guide pointed out ringtailed lemurs. Hotel has a very nice restaurant and bar. Lunch and dinner three course meals at 40k ar and well made. Breakfast subpar with bread, pancakes and coffe. Probably needs fruit, juice and omelett to warrant the 30k price. Rooms are well functioning with electricity, hot water and ok beds. But really quite basic, you spend time in the bar area rather than the room.
