It’s an incredible architectural ensemble: the 35-hectare Pôle Hippique de Saint-Lô boasts unrivalled facilities, including the former national stud farm and several riding arenas. A venue for prestigious events (equestrian shows and exhibitions such as the one dedicated to the Cadre Noir de Saumur in the summer of 2024), it is also a training and apprenticeship centre for lovers of the discipline, whatever their level. The entire facility is open to the public.

Faire la visite avec un guide (3€) c est tellement plus intéressant. 1h de visite avec le guide et ensuite on peut repartir seul revoir les chevaux ou autres choses.

Le pôle hippique est à mille lieux de mes convictions en matière de bien-être équin (à savoir chevaux en troupeau au pré, activités variées), mais j’admets que la préservation du lieu vaut le détour, que l’accueil est très sympathique et que la visite est intéressante.
