LE LODGE DE LA SALINE
Built on the estate of a former shrimp farm, this recent ecolodge, committed to sustainable tourism, consists of 8 cottages of 45 m², 6 bungalows of 32 m² and a villa of 100 m². Combining elegance and comfort, the whole thing was built from the farm's materials, transformed and reconverted with great skill. The restaurant offers a menu of fresh products from the sea and the vegetable garden revisited with creativity, and deserves a stop on the Tsingys road (2h30 from Morondava) or a detour from Belo at the end of the descent of the Tsiribihine (10 km). Take advantage of the visit to test one (or more) of the proposed activities: night outings to meet microcebes (10 000 Ar per person), canoeing in the mangrove swamp (10 000 Ar), guided tour of the Saline and introduction to the harvest of fleur de sel (15 000 Ar), baobab walk (5 000 Ar), swimming pool, fitness room, massage or beach trip. Nature lovers and walkers will enjoy the 2,500 hectares of the estate, home to some 134 species of birds and families of lemurs that scientists regularly come to admire. We can only highly recommend this address and advise you to spend several nights there to fully enjoy it. Finally, adventurers or small budgets can test the camping option. The fully equipped tents can accommodate up to 3 people each, with shower and electricity, guaranteed comfort.
