Ambiance intemporelle dans ce magnifique bâtiment qui a traversé le temps mais dont l’âme est bien présente à travers une décoration soignée et une attention toute en douceur du personnel. Restaurant au top ????

A very nice and reasonable pitstop on the way to Bekopaka. The manager was charming and very kind. Rooms clean and comfortable with a fan, and mosquito net. A double room with en suite is 65,000 MGA. The restaurant does a mixture of Malagasy and western food (e.g pasta).

I knew the hotel was full on the night I arrived as I had written them the night before. However, I arrived super late in the village, alone and by motorbike after an hectic day. I had to find a place to leave my motorbike for 24h (they have a secured parking) so I could visit the Tsingy by car. I stopped and asked the lady owner if she would mind. She answered me in a rude way to check with her husband and left me. So I had to find the husband myself. Little did I know that her husband would be even more unfriendly. He rudely told me 'no' and to go somewhere else. I asked him 'where then? ' and he just said 'I don't know, somewhere else'.
How rude can people be just for a small service like that, especially for a place of their standing.

On the positive side, as Mad Zebu was full the day after on my way back, I ate lunch at their restaurant and the food and service was great. So heads up to the staff.

Super hôtel, chaleureux et accueillant qui sert une cuisine excellente ! Tout est fait maison et frais, c’est un régal :)
Il s’agit d’un hôtel familiale tenu par une famille adorable, nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer la fille du gérant qui a été vraiment adorable et aux petits soins avec nous :) Nous avons bien dormi, bien mangé, idéal pour recharger les batteries après la descente du fleuve. On arrive ici et on s’y sent comme à la maison :)
Au delà de ce super hôtel c’est aussi une occasion de faire une très belle rencontre humaine alors ne passer pas à côté de cette chance :)

PS: concernant le crocodile, il s’agit d’un crocodile qu’ils ont sauvé et soigné lorsqu’il était tout bébé et blessé. Difficile de savoir quoi faire comme il ne saurait pas chasser pour survire..

Je le précise vu certains autres commentaires, il faut se méfier des conclusions hâtifs et poser des questions pour comprendre vraiment les choses :)

un passage au MENABE voir le grand Mr de propriaitaire tres gentil toujours pres a vous rendre service; il vous raconte sa vie de GREC a BELOT et experience je vous le conseil et un restaurant tres agreable et une tres bonne note pour la qualite; prix!

Très bon accueil et service restauration agréable. Je recommande bien que les chambres ne soient pas très lumineuses, ce qui est embêtant au vu des problèmes fréquents d'électricité à Madagascar.

Don't give this place any of your money. They captured a baby crocodile about 20 years ago and have it caged still to this day in an enclosure it can hardly turn around in. It's a terrible life for any living being. It's being tortured. Don't stay here and don't eat here until they decide to free this poor creature. We made the mistake of stopping here for lunch on the way to Tsingy but chose Mad Zebu upon our return. Mad Zebu had better food anyway.

Bel hôtel, personnel très souriant et gentil. Par contre le patron, jamais rencontré quelqu'un d'aussi désagréable.. Et jhabite au nord de Paris donc je sais de quoi je parle.. Je ne mets pas moins de la moyenne, pas de méchanceté gratuite. Mais au moins vous êtes prévenu !

Beautiful hotel, employees are smily and very nice. But the boss is awful!! Never met someone that unpleasant. (and I'm from north Paris so I know what I'm talking about ????). I don't grade less than the average, don't need to be mean. But now you know!

Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber recht einfach. Es gibt kein WLAN aber dafür einen sehr zuvorkommenden und entspannten Service. Das Essen ist sehr lecker.

Hôtel du Menabe is the best structure of the corner, I suitable about it too. But it is always fun reading comment of the web surfers: " I am not agreement with the commentary on Petit Futé " = " I doubt that your advisor moved " on site;. " Not to be accord" do not mean " to have raison" , and it is not as Petit Futé and its author have a different opinion they did not necessarily make their work! For my part I popular enough the commentary on the guide, which does not criticise the hotel, on the contrary, but gives things in their context after (, it is true that " enough spartiate" is not a senses menu). For the cuisine, Petit Futé says that the restaurant is good, you will not say either that it is Michelin 2 star. I also slept in Menabe (last year), and I of agreement to recommend this hotel to tourists, but I think that some web surfers undoubtedly " familiers" (not to say more) owners should be a little more lucid (there is to believe that suddenly two similar opinions are published on this site, and a traveller in particular keeps informed therefore the evolution of painting or the website of a hotel where they stayed in 2007!!). Good stay with all, travel light and responsible!

I stayed at this hotel in 2007 and I not agreement with the commentary on Petit Futé. I slept in a very clean and comfortable room with private facilities, desk and wardrobes. In what these facilities are spartan? I doubt that your advisor moved on site for such remarks. I learned that Denise and Spyros even have made from important work of embellishment (paintings, furniture, website, etc.). And what about the cuisine: simply extra, copious and I expressly recommend this all tourists who to Belo. You will not regret meeting Spyros, a sacred character, and see to activate Denise the kitchen. Good stay!

Hello, I am not in keeping with this commentary, on the contrary.
This colonial hotel stands in a majestic way at the end of the village. Several points must be highlighted. The first rooms are all equipped with facilities and hot water are ventilated and particularly spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is the needs of a tourist, and the cleanliness is the point of the owner's Denise. For a pleasant stay, we recommend this hotel restaurant highly.
