The palm grove of Ivondro is an agro-touristic domain belonging to the Savonnerie Tropicale S.A. You will be able to make half-day tours including the visit of the oil palm plantation, the discovery of tropical products (vanilla, coffee, banana, clove, cinnamon...), the betsimsaraka handicrafts, cultural excursions, bird watching and finally the visit of a mini-sugar factory... On the spot, you will find a good restaurant which proposes products made with coconut. A beautiful excursion.

Il n'est précisé nulle part qu'il faut une autorisation pour accéder au site.. Aller retour de 200000ar et 1h de rte pour rien.. Puisque l'autorisation n'est délivrée qu'à l'office de tourisme à tamatave..

Jolie excursion dans cette palmeraie à une grosse dizaine de kilomètres au sud de Tamatave. J'ai pu y découvrir une plantations de palmiers à huile, des épices, de la vanille, des produits locaux et naturellement l'artisanat gasy qui en fait sa réputation. A la fin de la visite, il y a une sucrerie pour découvrir les méthodes ancestrales. Sympa si vous y allez avec vos enfants.
