In an enchanting natural setting, this lodge offers 3 green bungalows (for up to three people), with dry toilets, rainwater recovery and photovoltaic energy. Stay in the land if one can say: on the menu of activities, triage of vanilla, rafting fishing, rafting or kayaking, visit of plantations (vanilla, coffee, cocoa…). We eat duck, goose, chicken… Welcome to small onions of the family of Mihen and Jacqueline. A charming address off the beaten paths.

Opening time and information on ANKAVANA LODGE

From mid-May to mid-December only. Fixed rate formula 3 days including the transfer (1.45am track, 1am of walk then 1.30am of motor boat), the visit of the village, trott in the forest, of the activities, accommodation and the meals. About Ar400,000 per person and per day in full-board, except transfer (about Ar342,000 for 2-9 people). Possible also to come there for 1 or 2 nights.

A haven of peace and serenity. the bungalows are magnificent, near Sarahandrano, lively, prosperous thanks to its vanilla. The get there are not simple, making the originality and charm of this corner of Malagasy bush.

This village is unmissable SAVA, an excursion that allows you to be in the heart of the Malagasy life in the bush. A warm welcome, simple and hearty meals, magnificent bungalows, fabulous landscapes...
I highly recommended to make a small crystal by Sarahandrano, it is by far my destination in Madagascar. My favourite was can follow the diverse phases of the preparation of vanilla. In short an unforgettable stay!

A small tour which request for particular physical condition and allows you to discover a Malagasy characteristic village. A family Mihen and Jacqueline who lavishes welcome faultless and excellent food. This family-run devotes itself to travellers who are thirsty for knowledge.
These 3 days along Ankavana and in this village remains an inexhaustible souvenir that we recommend with all those visiting this region.
