A friendly, family-run home with collections showing reconstructions of workshops in Klingenthal.

Klingenthal owes its existence to the creation of a royal sword factory in 1730 by Louis XV. The village, which is essentially made up of former factory buildings, has a friendly, informative and well-presented museum for families. The collections allow to observe reconstitutions of workshops as well as an important number of old weapons. Know-how of yesteryear and production techniques are exposed from the creation to the closing.

Ce musée est une pépite et une véritable surprise ! Nous nous sommes arrêtés pour le visiter en rentrant sur Strasbourg depuis le Mont Saint Odile, et je recommande à tout le monde d'en faire autant. Accueil parfait, musée avec beaucoup d'explications et scénographie de qualité. Amateurs d'armes blanches anciennes, ce lieu est fait pour vous.

Un chouette musée dans un joli village alsacien calme et fleuri.
Nous avons profité pour faire cette visite comme nous étions en séjour à « l’hôtel des Vosges ».
Pas besoin d’utiliser la voiture le musée est situé à quelques centaines de mettre à proximité du temple.
