This spectacular bookshop with over 60,000 books on its shelves is a must-see. A pleasure for readers and eyes alike.

Raymond Gourgues had a dream: to open a bookshop specializing in antiquarian books. To his great delight, his wish came true in 1980, in the pretty hamlet of Le Somail, on the banks of the Canal du Midi. Today, his granddaughter Nelly is the guardian of his treasure. In the beautifully refurbished 1,000 m² barn, you'll find over 60,000 books on the shelves! Spread over three levels, you'll find paintings by local artists, as well as books by authors published in small quantities. A warm welcome and expert advice are guaranteed.

Ça c'était exceptionnel !!! Je n'avais encore jamais vu en France, ni même en Europe, une si belle et si grande librairie ! Il est vrai que l'on trouve presque tout, sauf le très moderne. Presque comme dans Harry Potter, l'expérience vaut le détour !! Et quel plaisir de voie autant de monde faire la quête pour acheter des livres ????????

Le top, amateur de lecture depuis de nombreuses années, j'ai passé un long moment dans cette cathédrale du livre. Beaucoup de choix pour tous les budgets, je suis sorti avec quelques livres. Très bien conseillé j'y retournerai avec plaisir. Une visite s'impose, c'est un lieu magnifique.
